OUR PROGRAMMES ARE
 
SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR THE MENTALLY CHALLENGED CHILDREN:
After working with the child guidance clinic for long time and seeing the need of the lower strata people our institution decided to start special school for mentally challenged children. In our school they are treated carefully and proper attention is paid towards their behavioral pattern.
At present we have 57 children in school. The children are divided in to 4 groups.
   a) Play group Nursery -- 4 to 7 yrs.
   b) Preprimary group -- 8 to 10 yrs.
   c) Primary group -- 11 to 15 yrs.
   d) Pre- vocational -- 16 and above.
Special trained educators are working in this department along with two attendant under the able guidance of psychologist and psychiatrists as well as the supervisor.
In prevocational group we taught children to make Candles, Wool items, Greeting cards, Rakhi making, Artificial flowers, Embroidery work, Fabrics painting, Crosstich work and Tailoring work. The other groups are taught by specially trained educators as per their syllabus.

LIBRARY & Reading Room:
It is common place for the people to come together, to spend their time to read the reading material peacefully and gain knowledge. The members of the library are youth children, women and aged people. Library provides variety of information, knowledge from different types of books, magazines or newspaper.

Our library helps students to prepare project on different subjects. Referring different books according to their subjects will result in self-learning, reporting and sharing of such material to develop their confidence, self efficiency and skill in communications.
At present we have around 13,000 books in our collection in different languages e.g. Urdu, English, Marathi, Hindi, German and Japanese. Every year around 10,000 people take benefit of this facility. Everyday we have about 12 newspaper 4 weakly's and 3 magazines are provided for reading free of charge to the needy and deserving class & society. We have provided about 400 sq. ft hall for this activities.
SENIOR CITIZEN'S CLUB:
With the help of Rotary Club last year Nagpada Neighbourhood House started Senior Citizen's Club. Old and aged people are called Senior Citizen's of the country. After retirement they become free and have lots of empty time. And so many reasons this group is either ignored by family / society and community or they themselves become isolated. Seeing and studying above said problems, institute has started "Senior Citizen's Clubs" to re-establish a social life to keep identity and to refocus their attention on themselves for remaking life enjoyable. It provides homely atmosphere, professional care in clean, safe attractive environment.
 
At present we have 110 regular members including male female above 58 yrs. Senior Citizens attends club thrice in a weeks from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. We provide them indoor games, newspaper and reading material. We do provide them medical facility.

We celebrate all national days and festivals in the club. We do take them for picnic and outing.
We help them and encourage them to share their thoughts to make them think positively about rebuilding natural life.
Nagpada Neighbourhood House arranged two medical camp for Senior Citizen's with the help of Rotary Club and Proposal to have one camp for Acupressure therapy.
We provide them joyful time to enjoy their age and to accept the reality of life to become an active member of family, society and community.
The project functions on the basis of re-establishment of each participants by providing them identity and a happy atmosphere.
Nagpada Neighbourhood House arranged picnic for Senior Citizen's with the help of Rotary Club at Alibaug. Also yoga classes were arranged with the help of Rotary Club of Mumbai.
